Frequently asked questions

Running a children’s theatre group with over 700 pupils and 20 shows each year means that there is a lot of information to be communicated.  Much of this is done by email, much of it remains the same year in and year out and  much of it is also available on our website.  Here are the places to find the answers to our most commonly asked questions

Current and Future Term dates

Current term dates

All dates of classes, holiday dates, dress rehearsal dates and the date of the all-important show are on our website.
All children performing in the show need to be at their dress rehearsal.  This is for their benefit, so they know what to expect when performing in the show.

Future term show dates

Typically our Winter term  starts at the beginning of September and ends with the Pantomimes in January.  Our summer term starts after February Half Term holiday and ends with the summer show at the end of June or mid July.

LYRICS

Lyrics will be added to the website as the children learn each song.  They can be found here.  Where a child has a solo piece, this will be emailed separately for them to learn.

Show details

Each child is typically in ONE show.  A few children may be asked to do more than one show if someone else is missing.  Children in the “Cast Show”, which is not for a public audience, will be in TWO shows, but do not have a dress rehearsal.

BEFOre the show

You will get information by email on
  • Tickets (sold by the theatres – please direct any questions to them)
  • Costumes and costume check dates (we provide some costumes; you may have to provide some small items yourselves.)
  • How to pre-order a recording of the show
  • Volunteering to help (this is critical – we cannot run the shows without volunteers)
